Not that I went into it with status in mind, but still, there is still so much attached to these ideas of being a couple, having a house and a family. It is so fucked up. All I learned from four years of shitty marriage is that you have to find your own path to happiness. There is no formula.

As a dude who is now married and separated, all I have to say is A-fucking-men. Some of it is already implemented in Australia thankfully- wound care nurses, community nurses, occupational therapists, high risk clinics. Some of it is certainly not implemented as well as the organisation listed (but overall Australia does better than the US). The proof that it works hopefully will lead to more successz0r.I'm trying to find an article that I read long after I wrote the above post which describes how a particular hospital uses its data & computer statistical analyses to find disease associations etc. It was the same guy who first implemented the compulsory use of checklists for central line insertion to reduce infection rates (successfully)

The quiet health care revolution stuff is great! Engineering is about “How many approximations can I make such that it won’t be a balls up that makes people angry/dead?”More favourably: “We can’t possibly understand everything, so let’s simplify things as effectively and rationally as possible.”Also, you might be interested in this:
